I've decided facebook is a huge blessing in my life.  I get to talk with my sister every day, reconnect with past friends, and visit with new friends and the families of my past and present students.  In our notes to each other I feel encouraged, loved, and I hear some of the best stories.  Sometimes their notes make me cry, sometimes I laugh, and I am just so glad to have this great connection tool in my life.

I want to tell you of two of the most recent stories because they mean a lot to me.  The other day I found a new friend on facebook, a mother of a past student, and we chatted back and forth about life and about my cancer primarily.  She told me that for the last few fast Sundays I've been a topic of discussion for their fast.  When I read what the mother wrote about how they were fasting for me I gasped because I didn't think people would do that for me and it meant so much to me that a past student would remember me and want to do that.  My heart was completely touched!  I am so impressed by their kindness!  These parents are obviously teaching their kids to care about everyone and to pray for Heavenly Father to help people who are sick and I think that is great.  Thank you Ricks family! 

Another family told me of another amazing story about their daughter Kamryn and it demonstrates her faith and how she cares about me.  They went to visit her grandparents, who work in the temple, and when she saw them she asked them to include me in the temple prayers.  Isn't that sweet?  It made me cry to hear that.  Children are so sweet!  For those of you unfamiliar with temples, the people who go there pray for people who are going through rough times and I was touched that a young girl of almost 7 years would think of asking her grandparents to pray for me there.  Such a wonderful example of faith!  Thanks Kamryn!

I think children are the sweetest things on earth.  I feel like I HAVE to get better and beat this cancer because such sweet souls are praying for me.  I feel extremely blessed to know such wonderful children and I thank all of the children in my life for being my friends and for loving and caring about me.  I'm really so happy to have you in my life.  Thank you kids! :)
