I've been gathering an assortment of items to take to chemo.  It'll be tough to wait for such a long time.  They said it'll take 5-6 hours to do it.  Man, that's long!  It's inevitably going to be super boring!  I'm hoping all these items will distract me and make the visit more pleasant.  So far I have my ipod, a journal, a lot of books, magazines, candy (ha, ha!..I thought that one was funny!), and the cutest most wonderful blanket on earth that my Aunt Bonnie made for me.  Thanks Aunt Bonnie!  I feel like I'm a toddler putting together my "quiet book" so I'll be good at church.  :)  I hope my "quiet book" works.  I'm sure my fellow cancer chemo receiving buddies will appreciate it as well, since I'd be chatting their ears off otherwise.

I'm still preparing for the last day of school.  Whew!  It's wearing me out.  My mind races at night thinking about all the things I need to do.  I got a lot done today though.  One of them was my check-out meeting with my principal.  I think this meeting was the nicest meeting I've had with him so far.  He has been so caring and supportive about all of this.  I keep wondering if people at work know that I have cancer.  Everyone keeps offering to help me.  It feels like everyone is EXTRA nice.  I feel very blessed and grateful for such good friends and co-workers.

Tomorrow I meet with my surgeon for a post surgery check-up.  I hope he says my incision is healing beautifully.  I keep thinking I'll be in trouble for lifting heavy things when I was told not to and for getting it wet when I think I shouldn't have.  My fingers are crossed that he's happy with me.
