On Friday I went into my doctor's office to get my port flushed (cleaned) and had such a good experience.  I thought I'd share to help everyone understand how good I'm doing.
I came into the room where they do the port flushing and was greeted by two nurses.  One of them looked really puzzled to see me and said, "Can I help you?".  I told her that I was there to get my port flushed and she had the most bewildered and crazy look on her face.  As she flushed my port she apologized for being so confused when she saw me.  She said she was surprised to see me there because I didn't look like a person whose had cancer.  She said I looked really good and healthy.  :)

Insert my big smile and you'll know exactly how I felt, and how I feel now.  I feel wonderful!  So many people have said such kind things to me throughout this whole journey, but this one was pretty special and meaningful.  Next month will be my one year anniversary of being cancer free!  I'm so happy!  I know that cancer will forever be a part of my life, but for a moment it felt like it wasn't and I feel so appreciative of where I'm at right now.  I'm healthy!  I'm alive!  I'm in remission and life is good!  Thank goodness for those little things that happen every day that really aren't so little.
