It's the day after the port placement surgery and I'm glad I took the day off.  I'm not in terrible pain, when compared to my tonsillectomy, but it's enough to take pain pills and chill out.  There's no way I would have been able to go on our field trip.  Glad I chose to stay home.  Anyways, I've been in heaven with my pain meds!  I wish, wish, wish I would have had them for the tonsillectomy.  They are so much better and they don't make me feel sick.  I'm officially a Percocet fan!  I'm doing well and I'm happy.  It's uncomfortable having this thing on my chest, but I'm going to be just fine.

Mom on the other hand looks like she's been in a fight.  She fell when she went visiting teaching today and she has a terrible black eye.  Dad took her to the doctor, but ouch it looks painful.  I imagine she hurts all over her body too.  Include her in your prayers.  She looks like she feels terrible.  Give her a call to cheer her up.  Currently she can see through one eye and the other bruised eye is black and super swollen.  It's the blackest eye I've ever seen.
