I forgot to mention a few other things. They are rather insignificant, but I must mention them...for my own sake.
Since we've moved I've been trying to make DREAMS come true, whether they be mine or that of my parents. I've felt like I've been checking things off a list in my head. Peach trees planted....check. That sort of thing. Well, since we've moved here I've been wanting to get a kitten, but it was Fall and so I figured that if it was going to happen, I'd have to wait until Spring. Well, it turns out that kittens can be born in the Fall. I guess I thought Spring was the only possible time. Haha! Anyways, a friend posted on Facebook that she had kittens to giveaway for free. She gave me one of them and can I say that it is such a blessing.
Dad would hold it for hours and just smile his head off so it became a bit of a therapy cat as well. And then when mom fell, it's been a blessing to me too, because it is company for me. I'm not to the crazy cat lady status yet, but if I was I wouldn't care, because I'm not alone. I haven't been alone....I know God is always there looking out for me, but this little bundle of warm purring fun is a good thing for me. Her name is Penny and she's full of spunk, one of my favorite characteristics of people ironically. She's been so much fun and so has our dog Pixie. They love me unconditionally and I just have to say that I am thankful for my pets. I thought I had gotten them for my parents mostly, but it turns out they are for me too.
Now onto the next dream........ What dream will I make come true next? :) Another pet maybe? No. I think we have enough pets.
